Extremely interesting is the recent discovery of the so-called Dancing Satyr (Satiro Danzante). Found in the waters off Mazara del Vallo, this 300 B.C bronze statue is a great example of the splendour and harmony of Greek sculpture. Under restoration in Rome for five years, the statue can be now admired in the newly founded museum and former church of San Egidio in Mazara del Vallo.
